<a href=\"https:\/\/ayop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports (AYOP)<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sylvia heeft een rijke achtergrond in de maritieme sector en is betrokken geweest bij talloze offshore energieactiviteiten in het Noordzeegebied. In haar huidige rol richt zij zich op vruchtbare samenwerkingen voor en tussen alle partners die actief zijn in de offshore energiesector. AYOP cre\u00ebert een ecosysteem voor partners met verschillende specialisaties, kennis, producten &amp; diensten zodat iedereen elkaar kan ondersteunen en versterken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"is-style-subheading wp-block-heading\">Maritiem DNA<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Ik ben opgegroeid in de maritieme industrie: mijn vader werkte in deze branche en hij nam mij en mijn zus mee naar allerlei tentoonstellingen en de tewaterlating van schepen. Mijn passie voor water en schepen zit dus in mijn DNA. Toen ik na mijn studie wilde weten waar ik wilde werken, heb ik voor mezelf een checklist gemaakt. Ik wilde in een dynamische en internationale omgeving werken, in een industrie die echt iets produceert en ik had de voorkeur voor een door mannen gedomineerde industrie; maritiem bleek de perfecte match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"is-style-subheading wp-block-heading\">Succes is niet altijd vanzelfsprekend <\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>In het begin van mijn carri\u00e8re was ik niet te stoppen. Alles was nieuw voor mij en ik leerde in een ongelooflijk tempo. Ik was een van de weinige dames en ik werd gemakkelijk herkend en gezien. Ik klom vrij snel op de carri\u00e8reladder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoe hoger je komt, hoe moeilijker het wordt. In het begin dacht ik dat er iets mis was met mijn aanpak, dus heb ik verschillende tactieken geprobeerd en diverse leiderschapstrainingen gevolgd. Maar ik begon me ook te realiseren dat de maritieme industrie ouderwets is, vooral als het gaat om het plaatsen van vrouwen in leiderschapsrollen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gelukkig heb ik twee goede mentoren gevonden die me de hele tijd hebben gesteund. Ik ben blij te kunnen zeggen dat ik dingen zie veranderen en diversiteit een serieus onderwerp wordt voor bedrijven in de maritieme industrie. Het is een kleine organisatie en is heel anders dan het vorige, grote bedrijf waar ik voor werkte, maar ik zie nieuwe wegen en deuren voor me opengaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"is-style-subheading wp-block-heading\">Slimmer en duurzamer<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Ik vind het heerlijk om aan iets te werken waar ik veel energie van krijg. Ik wil uitgedaagd worden. Ik vind het leuk om dingen beter, slimmer en duurzamer te maken. Ik beperk mijn ambities echter nooit tot specifieke rollen of posities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"is-style-subheading wp-block-heading\">Allemaal samen voor de energietransitie <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Tijdens de eerste sessie van de community van 75inQ die ik bijwoonde, was ik onder de indruk van het niveau van de vrouwen die daar zaten. Ik vond het leuk om in de buurt te zijn van gelijkgestemde mensen en ook van mensen die erg op de weg zijn. Ik vind het belangrijk om mij tussen leeftijdsgenoten te bewegen, om kwesties te bespreken en van elkaars aanpak te leren. Bovendien zijn er veel oplossingen nodig in de energietransitie die vraagt \u200b\u200bom een \u200b\u200bdivers personeelsbestand. Dit geldt niet alleen voor geslacht, maar voor alles. Alles wat we ervaren, zit ook in onszelf. Het is diep geworteld in onze samenleving; kijk naar de manier waarop we onze kinderen opvoeden door meisjespoppen te geven om mee te spelen en jongens LEGO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Om een \u200b\u200bstap te zetten ben ik bewust meer vrouwen gaan inhuren in mijn team voor mijn vorige functie. Ik raad mijn collega&#8217;s ook aan om dat te doen en met respect te spreken als iets niet aan je verwachtingen voldoet.
